INTERNSHIP & RESIDENCY


Thanks for your interest in an internship at the Zero Collective. The Zero Collective, a network of growing churches located in West Michigan. Our internship experience provides a variety of different opportunities to learn, lead, grow, and experience ministry in a local church. Our goal is to equip you in the best way we can, develop you as a leader, provide the tools you need to succeed, and prepare you for a career in ministry. Pastoral

This internship and residency is designed for individuals seeking to be a pastor in a local church. The role will include opportunities to lead volunteer teams, start new ministry initiatives, opportunities to teach and preach, leadership development, onboarding of volunteers, and more. 


Next Steps (Groups and Discipleship)

The purpose of this role is primarily around the areas of discipleship and small groups. The role will include helping to innovate and lead new ways of discipleship in a local church context. It will also include much of the behind-the-scenes work of launching small groups, providing and creating curriculum, developing leaders, hosting special events, and more. 


Worship Arts

The worship arts intern and resident position is designed to provide knowledge, experience, and training in leading a worship team at a local church. This is a wide-reaching position that will allow the intern to gain experience in leading worship, organizing worship services, recruiting and leading volunteers, tech logistics, and more.

Production

The production internship and residency is designed to provide experience in the areas of web design, social media, graphics creation, audio/video editing, and Sunday morning logistics. This position is perfect for someone looking to gain a wide range of experience to pursue a job that involves technology in a local church.


student Ministries

The primary objective of a Student Ministries internship and residency is to prepare you for a career in a ministry setting. To give you an accurate view of what ministry looks like at one of the Zero Collective Churches, the internship will consist of working closely with the Student Pastor to cover a wide variety of areas, including: program planning, participating in teaching team meetings, opportunities to teach, engaging students/leaders/parents, recruiting volunteers, helping plan special events, administrative tasks and more. 


Children’s Ministries

The primary objective of a Children’s Ministries internship and residency is to prepare you for a career in a ministry setting. The internship and residency will consist of working closely with the Children’s Pastor to cover a wide variety of areas, including: program planning, opportunities to teach, engaging students/leaders/parents, recruiting volunteers, helping plan special events, administrative tasks and more. 


Missions

The Missions internship and residency within the Zero Collective is designed to expose you to the missions arm of the local church. This will include experience in our community Essential’s Store, local and global partnerships, mission trips, outreach activities in the community, and other ministry initiatives. 


Church Leadership

The Zero Collective, a network of churches that will provide a unique collaborative learning environment that will mobilize you to live and lead with purpose - with direct oversight from one of our church pastors. You’ll help plan and facilitate weekend services, learn how to lead an effective assimilation process and vibrant group life, and communicate and cast vision in large group environments. You’ll also learn effective processes for recruiting, developing, mobilizing, and caring for volunteers. Church Leadership interns and residency receive monthly leadership development training, intentional community building time, and benefit from a great experience serving alongside Zero Collective staff and volunteers
