Position: Technical Arts Director
Reports to: Worship Arts Pastor
Objective: Assist in fulfilling the programming and technical needs of Frontline Community Church
Full Time: Salaried with Benefits

Position Overview:
Help to cultivate environments for people to experience the transformational presence and love of the living God, through the mobilization of volunteer teams, enabling the church to fulfill its mission. Working closely with the Worship Arts Pastor, this person will provide expertise for technology carried out in a team environment and in collaboration and cooperation with other ministries

 Spiritual Qualifications:

Professional Qualifications:

  • Expertise in leading a technical arts ministry team.

  • Expertise in the area of live sound, studio sound, and production.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Collaborative in their efforts to foster growth and excellence in every area of ministry.

  • Detail-oriented in their work, and able to problem solve as challenges arise.

  • Experience with volunteer coordination and team development.

  • Able to lead and equip others to grow in the use of their gifts.

  • Experience with theatrical lighting/DMX, and stage design.

  • Experience with network infrastructure and basic IT.

  • Experience in the area of filming and video editing.

Specific Requirements:

  • Proficiency with digital consoles and professional mixing techniques.

  • Proficiency with computer skills, especially with Apple computers.

  • Expertise in audio recording and editing software.

  • Expertise in ProPresenter.

  • Experience with lighting software and programming.

  • General knowledge and experience operating Reason and Sunday Sounds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee audio, video and lighting for Sunday morning worship services.

  • Assist other Frontline ministries with technical needs.

  • Prepare volunteers to execute weekend services with excellence.

  • Recruit, supervise, coordinate, schedule, and train Sunday morning tech teams.

  • Provide programming and creative energy to service planning, collaborating with the Worship Arts Pastor.

  • Oversee stage designs and bring vision and direction to the Stage Design Team, alongside the Worship Arts Pastor.

  • Order new gear, replace old gear, and research items we need or will need along with getting the necessary price quotes.

  • Test, clean, organize and keep inventory of all Worship Arts equipment, resolving any equipment issues as necessary.

  • In collaboration with the Worship Arts Pastor, develop an annual budget; coordinating and managing resources with a high degree of stewardship.

  • Meet and collaborate with the Zero Collective Technology Director regularly.

  • As unforeseen Tech or IT needs may arise, be willing to help as necessary.

Position: Executive Pastor

Objective: To assist the Lead Pastor in carrying out the mission and vision of Frontline Community Church

Position Overview:
The Executive Pastor is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the church staff, leading all functional areas in the accomplishment of Frontline Community churches mission. This includes outreach, congregational care, small groups, students and children’s ministry areas, as well as strategic planning, finance, administration, human resources and operations.

  • Preferred candidate will have 5-7 years of leadership experience as a senior leader in a ministry context or similar business setting

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required

  • A proven track record of effective leadership, judgment, and above reproach character

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Lead Pastor in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry effectiveness evaluations, discernment, decision making, planning and overall direction of the church staff

  • Ability to lead from the second chair

  • Lead the ministry staff in the establishment and ongoing direction of ministries that effectively reach the church’s demographic, insuring the accomplishment of the overall mission

  • With the help the Lead Pastor, lead All-Staff meetings

  • Ensure the operational readiness of the church through leadership and oversight of the support staff performing duties in administration, finance, and human resources, supply and facilities management

  • Facilitate the annual strategic planning process including evaluation of ministry performance, review of mission, vision and core values: development of key objectives and tactic: and establishment of yearly goals

  • Establish and maintain a set of key performance measures that provide the Lead Pastor and church staff with ongoing visibility of the effectiveness of all functional areas of the church

  • Champion the development of infrastructure by all ministry and support areas that supports healthy, long-term growth of the church

  • With the help of The Zero Collective Executive Pastor
    - develop annual financial plans that fund the accomplishment of the strategic plan and meet critical financial objectives
    - lead church building and construction programs including capital fund raising campaigns, master planning, design and architecture, contractor selection and construction
    - recruit, interview and hire additional team members
    - oversee the residency process and residents at Frontline
    - identify and develop future leaders within the church

  • Oversees large church events (Behind the Lines, Welcome Home Sunday, Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, etc…)

  • Implements and maintains a Ministry Action Plan (MAP) process with all direct report staff

  • Ability to recruit, train and develop lay leadership

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor


THE CENTER CHURCH | BYRON CENTER, MI

Position: The Center Church Worship Pastor 

Reports to: Lead Pastor 

Direct Reports: None 

Objective: To lead and bring the congregation into a worshipful experience of our Lord Jesus through the arts.

 Spiritual Gifts Needed: Serving; Leadership; Encouraging; Exhorting; Shepherding 

Part Time: 20 hours per week, not benefit eligible 

Position Overview: 

The Worship Pastor will primarily be responsible for the musical and programming element of corporate worship at The Center Church. In this role, the Worship Pastor will work in conjunction with other Zero Collective worship pastors and Worship & Creative Arts Pastor of The Zero Collective (a network of similar churches) in carrying out the vision of The Zero Collective from a worship perspective at The Center Church.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement, demonstrate and achieve Center’s mission and philosophy of ministry as it relates to worship and the arts. 

  • Directly lead worship at The Center at least 75% of the scheduled worship services. 

  • Schedule worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and technical volunteers for worship services, whether leading or not. 

  • Recruit, audition,and schedule musicians, vocalists and technical volunteers, as well as identify and raise up anointed worship leaders at The Center. 

  • Schedule and lead structured rehearsals at The Center Church that are executed effectively and efficiently producing established measures of quality in music and sound mixing.

  • Utilize the scheduling software, Planning Center Online, to schedule musicians, vocalists and technical volunteers. Scheduling is to be three to four weeks in advance of any worship service/event.

  • In conjunction with The Zero Collective Worship Pastor, consistently evaluate and report on the quality of the worship services and provide insight to ensure excellence of the worship experience.

  • Consistently evaluate the Worship & Arts equipment and technology needs at The Center Church and purchase new equipment when needed through guidance of the Lead Pastor.

  • Provide insight for stage design, use of props, and overall visual enhancement of the worship space. 

  • In conjunction with the Lead Pastor help budget for the Worship Arts department each fiscal year.

  • Maintain fiscal responsibility as it relates to the The Center Worship Arts budget. 

  • Participate and attend Zero Collective services and special events including team meetings, outings, retreats, and all staff meetings. 

  • Other duties as assigned by the Lead Pastor of The Center Church.
